So, I was simply a creeper on the Nest Boards and was just getting the courage to post when it all changed! So I am a lurker who decided to post here! My husband and I just started Insanity, today is day 5 of the first week! It is just as it says, INSANE! Just curious if anyone has attempted/finished out insanity? I would love to hear ANY stories about your personal experience or people you know of! I am trying my hardest to stick to this challenge!

Yeah, I feel you. I had just de-lurked when it changed.
Yes, I did Insanity earlier this year. It's TOUGH and killed my knees. However, the cardio was so awesome it helped me run my first 5k. I didn't lose a ton of weight, but my body shape improved and I lost inches. I have moved to Chalene Extreme, which I like okay, I think I just don't like weight lifting.

I finished P90X, took a week off and am now finishing up my 3rd week of insanity. Yes, it is ridiculous! I really could tell the difference betwen my first fit test and the 2nd one earlier this week.
I did the first 30 days, and then I fell and had a concussion (not related to Insanity) and couldn't do anything for 6 weeks.
I loved it overall! I had great results. I had a little bit of pain in my knees and shins when I started, but I quickly learned that the best thing when starting out is to focus on form and not on trying to keep up with the people in the video. I did maybe 8 jump squats compared to the 40 or 50 that people were doing in the video and still got great results, and my knees felt much better too.

I'm finding the arch of my feet hurth the most, especially in the lunge/hip flexor stretches with the arms up. I had my shoes fitted at a special store - I don't think they were fitted specific for running since they mostly looked at how I walked and my stance for the pronating. Maybe I'll start a post asking about arch aches.
