I'm old school, pen and paper. I get a mini legal pad(it fits nicely in my purse) and write down everyone I have to buy for(I have a ton of nieces and nephews) and then I start writing down ideas as I get them or they are given to me and then comes the gloriousness that is crossing them off as I shop! Good luck!

I guess I do something like this. I'll write in the notebook app on my phone if I get an idea.

I wait till the last minute, scribble down everyone in the family I need to buy for on a piece of paper, then go on a shopping marathon and hope for the best finding great stuff for everyone. I wish I was kidding, but that seems to be how it works out for me every year, no matter how good my intentions are to be more organized and start earlier. Except our kids, somehow stuff gets purchased for them in advance, but that's mostly due to my husband. He's not the procrastinator that I am.

Don't feel bad about that. My mom had a friend who used to drink a beer in between buying things. You did not want to be at the botttom of st.

I try to do a spreadsheet so I can budget by paycheck starting with the past packets in October (yikes that is Fri) that way I budget myself but also can cross things off quickly
Is it bad that I want to call a gift truce with my family? Seriously none of us need anything and I hate buying gifts just because.
I prefer to buy online though.
I like to buy online, too, although I just recently started. I bought my dad a copy of "Alas, Babylon" by Pat Frank. He said he couldn't find it anywhere and it's one of his favorite books. I got it on half.com for $4.00 including shipping. Dad's gift? Check.
I want to check out more deals from there (hell, BOOKS FOR EVERYONE! MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY READERS! *Tosses bookmarks in the air*)
Ahem.
But yeah, I like it, especially when I get the shipping for supah cheap.
Last year I was about to pop and I waddled into Ross on Christmas Eve. The lines literally circled the entire store. This year I've been promising to be better but I haven't made one purchase yet. I have Kohls cash that is going to expire tomorrow so I think today we will get gift #1.

Ive been using Pinterest to pin my ideas and keep track of what I bought. I figured if anyone asks what to get her, they can at least see what I bought. For H, I have been saving my list in the notepad on my iPhone.

I feel like I should add that by "last minute" I mean a few weeks before. I'm not shopping two days before or anything. I'm just not my mom who starts in August.
