We have been to both (on the adults-only side), but would definitely recommend them.

Perfect for adults and kids. Great food, tons of pools, nice beach, some bars...a good time overall!

We stayed at a Hilton AI in Costa Rica a couple of years ago. It was definitely kid-friendly, but I'm not sure how many specific kids activities they had (we have no kids, so I didn't pay attention). The grounds were absolutely beautiful.
