He is getting TWO OFFERS today. He has been looking since september to switch, and not much was going on, and now BAM. Two offers, woot! Hence why I was drunk ;last night, celebrating, lol.
He had an interview yesterday at a different company and he told them he was expecting an offer today, so they said they'd make him an offer by lunch time.
He is extremely stressed about having to pick. I think he may have a heart attack by the end of the day.
ole! that's awesome, congrats. And both these jobs will help him to be home more/less of a commute, right?
Yes and no, lol
They are both 15-20 minutes away, by car. No PT. So we need a second car. But probably with either one of these jobs, he would spend the extra hour a day he is saving on transport working, and would still be gone from 7 to 6:30 every day. But it would then be very minimal nights and weekends.
The best part of switching though is that he won't have anymore sales and networking expectations, meaning no more hockey games, cocktails, dinners, etc. So more nights at home
Oh, that's great! Is he a little leery of the one company because they were so wishy-washy and the woman was a bit nuts?
YES! He is there meeting with them right now, lol. It is the better position on paper, higher level, would really be amazing on his resume, and slightly better pay. But then the lady is nuts and the day to day work would be more boring and more stressful. And no possibilities of growth within, since he would already be the top finance guy.
The other one is a better fit, he would love his job, but he would be less high up, less known company but bigger, room for internal growth.
I think he wants the second job, but feels pressure to take the first. We'll see.
Thanks guys! It has been such a tough process, DH doesn't do well with change and stressful decisions, so he was having a hard time throughout the winter when not much was coming up.

Pressure from you or himself? Sounds like the second choice might be better for your family.

I'm really trying not to influence him. He doesn't want to be the guy who refused the VP job and went with the lower level job, because that is not how he sees himself, and because of what his network will think. Like, next time there is a high level job, they will not think of him because he will be the guy who refused that, you know?

Men are complicated, who knew? lol
They are! I can't get my husband to even look at what is out there, never mind move up.
