book to movie/TV adaptations?

I think this is an example of a perfect book adaptation. The book is amazing and the movie does it justice.

I've heard a bit about this. It's called Elementary and it sounds kinda awful. Holmes as a recovering substance abuser and Dr. Joan Watson as his "sober companion" solving crimes in NYC. I just.... no.

Although not a movie, the stage adaptation of Wicked was so much better (and more entertaining) to me than that boring book.

And I absolutely adore the book, but I agree about The Princess Bride. The movie is my favorite.

I disagree about The Hunger Games. I liked the book better.
