I'm thinking it's time to look for a new activity.
I really, really need to conquor this though. I'm determined to make it to antarctica and I'm never going to make it unless I have an ambien iv drip or I get over my fear.

Oh I get it. But I'm thinking this is more of a baby steps deal and not jump into this over night. I truly think swimming lessons is your first step. Yes, you're scared of the boat, even in shallow water, but why? I think that's something you have to figure out first.

maybe hypnosis? I can't really think of anything I'm afraid of like this to offer any tips. The only other thing I can think of is what we already talked about, becoming a strong swimmer and then maybe somehow that will help get rid of this fear.
also, how does one go to antarctica? are there tour groups or something?
