My neighbors found out about Nora and so they put a "Thinking of you" card in my mailbox AND brought me homemade caramel popcorn last night. They are such awesome people.
I love my DS like crazy....he tells me my hair looks nice when I get it done and always calls me into the living room to see my favorite parts of movies he's watching.
I love Bully...for realz....she's such an awesome person and gives the best, practical, advice.
My BFF is amazing....she's always got my back and sends words of encouragement, when I need them the most.
Yesterday I went to my parents house at lunch to see A. My mom saw me pull in and said "Mommy's here." A scrambled off the couch and to the door, then got mad that Grandma left the door closed. I loved how excited he was to see me.
I got a health assessment done at our benefits fair at work today. I am officially no longer in the "overweight" category. Actually, all of my numbers were good, although my BP was a little higher than my normal numbers.
The wonderful ladies who responded to my "break up" thread yesterday made me feel so much better, and put things into perspective. It's nice to be reminded that you aren't the only one who has faced certain things, whether it is something minor or major.
Today I get to pick up my beloved fur baby! (XH and I share custody).
Also good weather here - high of 80 today and tomorrow, which is much warmer than normal. Good weather for walking and chatting with my new roomie.
I forgot my lunch on the kitchen counter yesterday. J packed me a lunch last night and left a note by my phone this morning reminding me to grab it out of the fridge. And there was a little note in the lunch bag too.
One of my clients emailed me to congratulate me on completing my test and getting certified.
And he added "Tests are great, but the real measure of an advisor is in their clients’ satisfaction. In my book, you passed with flying colors long ago. Thanks for being my advisor."

Congrats, sweetchix!
So exciting, DL!
Bully, that was sweet of your neighbors!
I told someone who I work with that I'm interested in doing some traveling for work, and he emailed me just a day or two later saying that he's looking for someone that would do semi-annual trips abroad and trips to DC and asked me to think about it. It would be with my same company, and I need to look into if there would be any pay increase (sounds like it's a slightly higher-ranking job than what I do now) or how it would affect my track for advancement, but I'm really interested in the opportunity and flattered that he asked me!

Work has been super understanding about me being loopy and stressed with my health issues and surgery. My annual review was awesome. I'm got invited to go camping with friends and couldn't because of surgery, now the group scheduled another trip in a month do I can go and invited me again.

Oooh, that's really exciting!
Thanks! And that was so nice of your client to say that about you!
