I'm pretty sure I didn't do any housework for 4-5 months for that very reason.
For probably 5 months Ellie would ONLY nap with me. I mean, she'd nap for hours and hours, but I couldn't even think about moving. I literally used to stash granola bars around the house so if I got trapped during one of her nap times at least I wouldn't starve. Every now and then she might toss me a random nap in her swing, but it was rare.
I felt discouraged because I felt like everybody else's baby just happily napped in his/her crib, but mine refused. So, just know that it's not just you!
My plan for dealing with it was to just try to enjoy it while it lasted, but then when she hit about 5 months we started really doing some sleep training to get her in her crib. She picked up on it quickly and will nap there now, so it won't last forever!
Totally normal. She needs to be with you and I would completely expect to get no housework done between now and when she turns 3-4 months old. Besides, like you said, you need the sleep.
You're not alone. At least you can nap with her now. Now Amelia won't sleep with me in my bed anymore. She will nurse for about 10 minutes max, and then she's standing to look at the window because it's right above the bed. She will fall asleep on me in her room in her glider for about 30 minutes but then she goes to roll over and sees me and she's UP. Lately if I put her down and walk out within 2 minutes she starts screaming like CRAZY, like there is a boogie man in there with her. Today was one of those days. She finally fell asleep at 3:45 and is still asleep THANK GOD. She was beyond tired but it still took tears from both of us to get her to sleep in her crib. I don't even care that my house is a complete disaster right now. I needed to put my feet up for a minute, take a shower, and get some bills paid. My word it's hard to get stuff done. I am totally petrified of the day she starts climbing out of her crib. I'm going to need a part time day care or a house cleaner.
Definitely normal. Have you tried wearing her around the house to get stuff done?
:Y:
I would have gone nuts if my sister's SIL (that make sense?) hadn't bought us a Moby (even though we registered for one, no one got one for us because "babies don't learn to walk in those things." ) Wearing my babies was the most efficient way to do just about anything.

What is normal anyway right? Luckily, B love love loved his swing (still likes it but is almost too big for it). He used to sleep soundly in his swing and even if he fell asleep on me, I could usually get him in there. Have you tried a swing or bouncer type thing? Just a few weeks ago I started being able to put him down in the crib for naps. He is napping in there right now in fact. Still struggling with night sleeping but at least he is napping in the crib so it's a start.................

Yeah. What is normal? I just like to know I'm not alone. Ha.
S will sleep at night so I'm thankful for that. She did nap in the swing today but that was after a swaddle. I tried it tonight while I showered and she crieeeed.
