I'm daydreaming of taking vacation time from work right now...what are your plans for vacations this summer?
I'm a little bummed because my family heads up to Canada every year for a camping/fishing trip, and this year I can't go because the week they're going is the same week my new boss already requested off. This is the first time I was denied vacation time in the 6.5 years I've worked here, so I guess it was bound to happen sometime.
The other (more exciting) trip L and I have booked is on the Saw at Sea cruise on the Carnival Glory ship. Yes, I am going on a horror-movie themed cruise. I'm a big horror movie fan and when I found out about this, I thought about going for about 8 months before I finally decided to do it. The cruise hits St. Johns, NB, Canada and Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Both places L and I have never been. We are doing a couple excursions- a pub-crawl in St. Johns, and a tour of Peggy's cove and a graveyard where 120 victims of the Titanic were buried. I'm super excited!

The horror cruise sounds fun! I have mostly small weekend trips planned right now. This weekend I'm heading to Nantucket Island for the annual Figawi boat race which is really just a big party weekend. In July I'll be in the Cape for July 4th and then VT for the Tough Mudder weekend. My boss is giving me his ski condo for free so I'll be inviting up some friends with us. In August there's a potential whitewater trip in Maine, or maybe a trip to Vegas. I'm sure I'll sneak off to L.A. to visit my friend there some random weekend as well.

Going up to Saint John, NB for a week for BF's daughter's wedding and to visit BF's family...should be fun!
That's about it for now...possibly a few weekend getaways here and there: maybe one or two to VA Beach, and then BF and I are talking about doing a long weekend at an AI in Mexico sometime in September or October.

That cruise sounds like a ton of fun! I hope you guys have a blast.
For me, BF and I are going to CO to visit/meet his family for a week in July. We are actually driving (2 day drive) with his kids, so it ought to be an interesting trip up there to say the least. I'm actually really excited, although a little nervous, about meeting his family. They sound like great people, I just hope they like me especially since I absolutely adore their son/brother.
In June, we're going to go to a casino about two hours away for an overnight. D won a free night there so we're going to relax before his court date that next week.
In July, D and I are going to Savannah for my older sister's wedding. He'll be meeting all of my family for the first time... excited and a little nervous!
In August, D and I are planning a trip to Maine. We are SO excited! He's never been and it's been 10 years for me so it's going to be a blast! We're renting a convertible and driving down the coast, sleeping in romantic b&b's... yeah!!!
