We're here and doing okay! They have evacuated certain parts of NYC and in Hoboken, they evacuated all ground floor/basement apartments, but we're in a high rise and are staying put. We're right along the Hudson River and it is getting pretty high, but so far so good. Our part of town doesn't generally flood too badly, and so far the rain has been light but it is definitely breezy. When Irene hit last year we never even lost power, so hopefully that will be the case again this time. We have candles, water and wine just in case!

They did shut down all the public transportation systems last night, so we're definitely staying put through the whole thing!

Thanks. Everyone's fine here too. Daycare was cancelled so D came to work with me this morning. They sent us home at noon. It's starting to get windy now.
