It looks like everyone around us has power. Why us?!?!?!
Are you sure your electrical panel didn't trip or something? Like a circuit breaker, but for the whole thing? I think that can happen if you don't have a whole-house surge protector.
What's the rule for toilet use during a power outage? We're on city water, if it matters. I've never been without power for more than about an hour. I'm completely clueless!
I think with city water you should be fine, unless you're in a high-rise in which case water may not be pumped up to your floor. We'll lose water if we lose power, but we're about 14 stories up...
You're fine *unless* the water treatment plants lose water.
I'm so bored. Still have power, and I've been watching Netflix/Hulu all day... I keep thinking maybe I should take a walk around my building just to get out of my apartment. #firstworldproblems
That's what I'm trying to do too mx. I'm using things like the Internet and my phone and laptop now since i can, then when/if power goes out, I'll switch to reading.

I just realized how unfair it is that I'm going through my first hurricane alone. I can't even break up the monotony with storm sex.
Add me to this list. It's kind of unfair that I would have had at least two days off with DH if he had been able to get in town...I haven't had a day off with him since the first week if August poor me
