Well that season finale sucked. In the way that makes me get all teary-eyed. I'm such a sap.
Don't get me wrong, the last couple of episodes give me hope that the writers are going back to what made Glee great in the first place. I was ready to stop watching after this season but now I have to see what will happen with all the seniors gone...
I really think you should just go ahead and edit the thread title to include "SPOILERS ALERT" and tell me what happened. I can't watch it on Hulu until next week anyway.

Whew. They were getting SO boring. It's like Buffy and Angel - only really good when heartache was involved. Why'd they break up?
He didn't get into school in NYC, neither did Kurt. So Rachel decided to defer a year. She thought they were going to get married, he took her to the train station and broke up with her and put her on the train to NYC. He wanted her to follow her dreams and he is going to join the military. Glee club was at the station to say goodbye. I was boo-hooing with Jenni.
DH was totally going to throw something at the screen if she tossed her hat in the air or did the twirl a la Marlo Thomas in That Girl (or Mary Tyler Moore in her opening credits is who I remember doing the hat-toss bit.)

Oh yes, the ending was very Mary Tyler Moore opening credits. It got a big ole and got me to stop crying.

This is what got me to stop watching. People kept hoping and wishing and saying that the writers were going back to the greatness... and then nothing would happen.
As a CA transplant in NYC, I get cold easily and can see myself in a coat in May. Besides, it wasn't really a winter coat - not like it was made of down or looked super heavy.
It looks heavier than my winter coat! But yeah, the realism thing...

Glad I wasn't the only one boo-hooing. Like little_moxie, mostly because I was mortified for Rachel getting dumped on her wedding day. Oh the drama! It was an okay finale, but I am curious to see what they do next season. There is really no female talent left in Glee without Rachel (shut up), Santana and Mercedes. There's a reason they completely ignored Tina until last week.

How will they suddenly transform Sugar into an awesome singer on the show, I wonder. And are there enough personalities there to carry the show, assuming it doesn't become "Rachel Goes to NY"? I will watch Blaine's beautiful face all day long, but I'm interested to see what they do with who's left and what kinds of new characters they bring in.

This is what I was wondering about. Will they switch back and forth between Lima and NYC? I told H that maybe they'll do a spin off, "Rachel in New York." He rolled his eyes so hard (he's not a Gleek).

while it is sad in the context that no one wants to be left at the alter - if any HS senior came on here today and said she was putting off college to marry her HS on again/off again boyfriend, the flames would consume her.

Well yeah, but suspension of disbelief is the beauty of teen trash tv. They were really gonna make it, y'all! ;D
