I think if it's just skin, you're fucked. Surgury would be your option there.
What I've been reading about poochy tummies is that what you really need to work is your TVAs. (transverse abdominals) not the regular abs that make a 6 pack. It's the TVA's that actually hold your stomach taut.
you can google moves that are supposed to hit them.
lol... Doesn't google = expert? ;D
Thanks for telling me what it is actually called.
Mine never really went away until I lost body fat. Now it's just skin that is weird when I do planks. And I never worked abs... Just lost fat.
I am back to tracking my eating on MFP. It really helps me. Yesterday I ran/walked 3.5 miles and I was very proud of myself.
I am getting frustrated though because I feel like if I eat one bad thing I gain what little weight I have lost back. And I am still not going over my calories according to MFP but I just cannot consistently lose weight. I just yo-yo.
Also, this is the first time in nearly 10 years I'm off hormonal BC. My doc told me last week that I have a blood clotting disorder that doctors don't routinely test for even when prescribing BC, so I should have never been on them and I should never ever use hormonal BC again. This obviously makes not-TTC very annoying. But anyway, I bring this up because I've been super bloated since coming off them despite eating relatively normally (save for this past weekend), so it would suck to see major weight gain as a result of coming off the pill. Dammit, I worked so hard to get to this point of maintaining my weight and now I gotta worry about this shit. Boo.
I had to get off hormonal BC last year because it was seriously affecting me. My estrogen levels were ridiculous. My doc also thinks it is why I started getting so many food allergies because my body could not handle processing the BC. Makes sense, the food allergies started around the same time I got back on BC. I have been charting since and it really is not that bad. I feel better too. GL with that.
You may not be eating enough. Check out the Eat More to Lose Weight group on MFP. Lots of great info.
