I've never had luck with brushes and sponges apply it too thickly. I like the look of applying it with fingers.

Have you tried out the real techniques stipple brush? (It's less like usual skunk brush). I've been hearing good things (Ulta carries).

The MU artist used it on me and I loved the way it applied. We shall see- I better love it for $45!
