::Lurker coming out of hiding::
Both of my boys had/have huge heads. 15 and 16 inches at birth.
My first had to have a CT scan due to the 1. size and 2. rapid growth spurt b/w 2 and 4 months. He shot up into the 120%+ range and then it leveled out to 97%.
CT scan was fine. Just needed that to confirm that he has my huge head. Second baby won't need CT scan since we now know abnormally large heads run in the family.
Everything will be fine. Don't Google it. Just trust your pedi on this one. The Google stuff can scare the bejeezus out of you.
DD's head has been off the chart since birth. Like, way off the chart.
But, the doc looked at me and DH, and he wasn't concerned. We all have huuuuge heads. Toddler hats are way too small for DD, and regular hats are way too small for me.

Both my kids are 98% in the head department. Just like their father!
Buying hats sucks (don't even try to buy ahead on clearance, it has been a giant fail for me- somehow no matter how big I buy, they are still always too small). Other than that, no big deal.
Both my kids have giant heads (95+%), but they didn't when they were born. Because they "jumped percentile curves" on the growth chart, the doctor sent them for a head ultrasound just to be safe.
It wasn't fun, but I don't think it scarred them for life, and I'd rather be safe than sorry. There is nothing wrong with them. They just have big heads
It seems like there are lots of babies with huge heads. Where are all the tiny headed babies? I feel like I never hear about a baby with a head in the 5%, but they must exist.

Probably not in this thread, lol.
DD has a big head (97%) and a little body (25%/25%).
Squirmy's big cloth diapers help her look more proportionate She does remarkably well at holding her big noggin up. Hopefully the hat I ordered for her will fit. It was sized 3-9 months, wtf that means I do not know, there were no actual measurements.

Both kiddos started out with 70thile heads at birth and moved to the 90thiles shortly after. They followed their curves from 1 month on. We joke about their giant heads, but DH has never been concerned as they have followed the curve.
DS is big all over, 85th percentile for weight, 92nd for height, and 99th for head. His head was so big it wouldn't fit through my pelvis, hence the c-section. DH has a huge head though, he has to special order hats in XXL. So it's hereditary. Our pedi ordered an u/s of DS's head at 4 months just to make sure nothing was wrong, there wasn't. Finding hats for DS is a PITA. He outgrew his toddler age 1-3 sun hat at 5 months old. The straw hat I got to go with his farmer Halloween costume is a Youth size 4-7 years DS is 8.5 months old.
