Don't even get me started! Like I said on ML... I KIND of get it if it's your 2nd (or 3rd or 4th). But when it's your first, at 4-6 weeks... that's fucking bloat.
All my BMB talks about is mean things people say to them now that they're getting big, and whether or not you are traveling for the holidays, and if you have your hospital bag packed. BORING, but annoying still, b/c its the bump.
It's friggin bloat. Especially if it's your first, I really don't see the probability of gaining a belly 30 minutes after you pissed on the stick. Come on.
It's causing this fear factor vibe from those who haven't had any or light symptoms because they think they're supposed to feel/look like they're 6 months along.

I took pictures of my stomach this morning, and I'm going to take one tonight to look at the bloat, because it is out of control. But its just bloat.
I don't think I'll be able to do the BMB. I feel like it'll be a lot of competion over who has the worst symptoms, who gains or doesn't gain the most weight and who is the best at being pregnant.

I just went over to July 2013. Here were some of the topics - Should I side sleep now? I'm 4w1d. - What to Expect...recommends 6 small meals a day, instead of 3 large meals. I'm sure it does. Along with every other health and nutritional specialist. - People using the words prego, tummy and hubs. I hate those words. We're adults.
But that's why TB is fun. Because you feel oh-so-superior to the fucking paranoid loons that ask questions like "can I cuddle with my cat?" and "will playing the acoustic guitar hurt my fetus"
Why preggers? Why that term? Make it stop. Please. It hurts my eyes and ears.
I read that, and then got sucked into other gems on your page like "I had to use a rubber band to hold my pants together today" and the confessions thread.

And the thread on how you conceived. I find that to be a weird thread. I would say 95% had sex. The others had IVF or some other type of fertility treatment.

I get annoyed within 5 minutes of checking my BMB.
Bettyhomewrecker - not to be creepy, but I'm also in Houston and have had both an OBGYN and midwives at 2 different hospitals if you want any recommendations. I know you've been here longer, so you probably don't need it, but just in case. I've also got a good doula and a Bradley instructor that has shorter classes (8 weeks instead of 12) if you're interested.
Thanks! I'll be meeting with my doc next week, depending on how that goes I just might be hitting you up for some references! Thanks!

I learned two new terms from TB today. "Blump" (bloat + bump) and "lightning crotch," which apparently refers to the sensation of your uterus stretching. Lovely.

Some of the answers were downright creepy!
Uh, yea. And I definitely did 8-D to the person who said wedding night. I mean, it can happen, it just sounds so cliche.
Plus, I feel like some of these people are the type who feel the egg and sperm meeting. Unless you only had sex once that month, I find it hard to believe you know the exact time you conceived. Even with charting.
MY BMB board is all about 1. registering for stuff, I guess April 2013 moms need to get things on a registry for X-mas presents? For themselves or baby I do not know! I was going to register after X-mas b/c I have the time off due to being a teacher and thought that was early..... 2. What is the sex of the baby! Which I will gladly participate in when I find out next Tuesday

I totally understand it if you just did it once in three weeks. I just have a suspicion a lot of people did it more than once. I don't know. Some of the answers just seemed creepy.
Moxie, I love the name Aria (from Pretty Little Liars! Haha, but I also watch GOT).
I can't sell my husband on it. Same with Poppy (sad). But I might get to use Poppy as a middle name, although I think our girl name is headed into fairy tale character territory if I add that.

I've been trying to push Poppy on my H too, and he's not going for it!
His girl name choices are Jolene and Cheyenne. :-|
It's like he wants them to be illiterate child runaway strippers. Redneck.
Well, don't tell my husband I told you, but our girl name is Beatrix. Beatrix Poppy would be her name, plus our last name (Grayson has two middle names so it feels weird not to add two for the next).
I'm going to delete the M name soon because it's pretty unique to me, so if you quote, please delete that name!
