I placed an order on 11/8 during the VIB promotion. Somehow, it ended up being sent to our old address, refused, and returned to Sephora. It was due to be scheduled today, so when it wasn't here when I got home, I checked tracking and immediately called Sephora. Half the items are now out of stock. The only option they gave me was to cancel and re-order. I'm pissed. I was even willing for my refused order to reach them and wait for it to be re-sent, but that wasn't an option. To boot, now I've lost out on my VIB 20%. Boo!
I sent them an email voicing my displeasure. I loved how the CS agent acted like she was doing me a favor by processing my refund. Umm, you can't deliver my order and now I'm forfeiting my VIB discount, yes I expect you to refund my purchase. Also, please excuse my lack of evening grammar skills, I was tired last night. I do know the difference b/w their and they're :-p
I didn't even know it was there. I'm just pissed that they're only solution was to cancel the order.
This has been happening to others when they switched over the websites a while ago, did you maybe not make an order since then?

Nope I've placed several orders since then. We haven't lived at our old address in over 3 years, I really had no idea that it was still in there and they had the billing address correct, so I'm not sure what happened. I get that it was my fault for not catching the address error. I accept that, but I don't understand why I can't still receive the order I placed albeit on a delayed schedule. It's going to be a very long time (if ever) that I order from them again.

I can totally understand the annoyance. Last year they lost my order (they thought they might have sent it to Florida in the wrong group of packages). They wanted me to wait for that package to arrive - I argued hard it was their error and finally they gave in. I think I was lucky nothing was yet sold out.
Did you try to escalate to a manager? I realize it might not matter, because they just might not have the ability to resend a returned order (however they process them).
This would frustrate me so much. Any chance what you wanted would be available at skinstore, which often has 20% off?

No I didn't try to escalate it, although I probably should have. I was way too tired last night.
I didn't order anything earth shatteringly exciting or a desperate need, just some new foundation to use after I finish up my existing tube and moisturizer for MH, which he can get from a local shop. So I'm good for a while, really just ordered to take advantage of the discount. I'll have to check out skinstore, haven't heard of them before.
