I apologize if I inappropriately resurrected an ancient thread. Not sure of protocol here, I participate in other forums but they all have a slightly different culture. I honestly feel like I am butting in on a conversation between friends here. But still, I felt compelled to share my story so that others avoid this door-to-door shady meat business. If you get sick, what is the recourse when you have a company that won't stand behind its product. If you buy meat from Safeway or Costco you will be taken seriously if there is a problem. They will investigate it right away.
My mother purchased from them last year and we still have tons of meat left ($500 the first time). I wasn't thrilled with the quality but I'm not a meat person. Obviously they saw an easy mark and had no problem getting her to shell out over $1800. We don't even have room for all of the meat. I think we are going to donate most of it to the homeless shelter, maybe there's a tax deduction in it.
