Online Dating - UGH!!!

Ok - I know we have all had our fair share of "winners". So I just thought I'd share mine.

I've been leary of online dating, partially because of everybody's stories on here, but I decided to try it.

First guy - seems cute, from the town right next to mine, sends me a smile. We e-mail back and forth for a few days, and he seems normal, he owns his own construction company, I check that out, everything seems fine, right?

So last night he asks for my phone number, and I give it to him so we can chat on the phone. In the course of the conversation, he tells me he's been arrested "7 or 8 times" and has a SEVEN PAGE LONG RAP SHEET! But he hopes that doesn't "scare me off". WTF dude? He tries to tell me about the arrests, and how some of them were "bogus". Really?

Ugh!!! I'm staying single forever!

Eh, it happens. Don't let one guy scare you off though, you just have to weed through the crazies

Most of the guys online are losers, but if you are patient enough to weed through them, there are some nice ones out there.

But that's why you need to screen them a bit before you meet them in person...you saved yourself on this one, phew!

I agree..there are some shady folks out there, but hang in there!
