best hotels in south beach?

My husband and I are planning a short getaway to Miami during April break. We are looking for a luxury hotel close to everything and on the beach. Looking to avoid tons of kids. Any suggestions?

Luxury, on the beach, not a ton of kids, and a fabulous spa - maybe Canyon Ranch Miami Beach? It's a bit north of South Beach, but sounds like it would give you most of what you're looking for!

I stayed at the W in South Beach in May and it was fantastic. Right on the beach, very few kids, fantastic spa and restaurants at the hotel, walkable to many places, and free transportation in their acura MDX's around south beach. Highly recommended!
