Really feels like any relationship spawned from an event like this is starting out on the wrong foot.
Read the comments section...a woman suggests they should start measuring penis length and not let the "small" guys in...hahaha.I have always been bad at guessing a woman's size, but really never would have thought a size 10 was considered overweight.
JM, you've been around long enough to know that fear of the micropeen is a real thing! I'm all for a dating event that would guarantee I wouldn't end up with one!

Maybe you should organize such an event. Do you have a tape measure?? Hahaha!
I just don't get it. "Skinny" doesn't make a woman attractive. But then again, if someone is turned off my me just because of whatever random size I wear, I'm not really interested in getting to know that person anyway.

Why yes I do have a tape measure. But I don't want to touch everyone's junk, so someone else is going to have to do the measuring!

Exactly! :Y: This is just disgusting but I'm not surprised at all that stuff like this is out there.

Can I hug you, please?
Statically the average woman in the US is 5'3.8" tall and weighs 164.7 pounds with a 37 inch waist per the CDC. That is roughly a 14/16 I think. So I agree a 10 isn't big especially if you are taller or have boobs and hips to fit in clothes.
Also I'd rather be strong, fit and healthy than skinny.

This just shows that it was created by a dude...a woman's size doesnt determine if shes skinny or not. There are fit women who wear 10's or 12's and some with more flab who wear 4's or 6's....height, muscle tone, etc...all are factors in your sizing. SHEESH lol!

Even though that is the average, that comes out to a BMI of nearly 30, which is borderline obese. Average does not necessarily equal good. However, I don't think 10 is large. Honestly, I'm a 6 now at 120 pounds. I was a 10 at 130 pounds. You can barely tell the difference. I also think that a size 10 is way more attractive than a 0 in some cases, depending on the person's build. My friend is tall and she looks freakishly thin if she gets below about a size 10. It's more about body type.
Am I the only one that doesn't think this is so bad? Okay, so it's not for everyone, but if your focus is on looks, then hell - go for it. Don't get me wrong, I would never attend because I think it's ridiculous and there is much more to a person than their looks, but to each his/her own. And I agree with the bolded "average" comment that average certainly does not mean healthy. And for the record, skinny doesn't necessary mean not strong, fit and healthy either.
That's ridiculous! How do they even determine size anyway. I wear a 10 or 12 in the "junior" stores (American Eagle) but I'm a 4/6 elsewhere. That's just disgraceful.
Reminds me of when my XH told me his biggest fear would be that I would "let myself go" after marriage and then yelled at me when I cried over a few lbs. Douchebags.
Yup. I wear a size 12, and I love my body and embrace my curves.
Unfortunately it took me a while to reach this place though. Before we got married, STBXH asked me to "promise" that I would reach my goal weight of 145. I don't remember ever weighing that; in high school (and when we met) I was a size 16 and over 200 lbs. At the time of this conversation and when we married I was a 12, and maybe 10 lbs more than the skinniest I've been. Another time before the wedding, he said something like, "My mom seems to think that you'll gain more weight back after we get married." I should have given the ring back to him then. I mean WTF were he and his mother discussing my weight?

I never said the national average was good just that skinny wasn't average and that 10 was smaller than average.
For some people skinny can be healthy. I never said it wasn't for some. Personally, for my body, it isn't. I have discussed this at length with my doctor. He agrees that a healthy BMI for me is between 25 and 28. Below 22 my blood sugar messes up and I start passing out. More power to the skinny healthy people. It's just not possible for me.

I'm a size 8 and wear a small but because I'm so short I definitely look larger than a lot of my size 10+ friends. With my curves I'd probably get turned away at the door lol You really can't go by clothes size. My friend wears a 10 and has a flat stomach and can wear a tube top (Bitch)
If you think thats ridiculous, look up Darwindating.com. They have a list of qualities you CANNOT have if you want to get in. One of them? No glasses, plus no body hair.
