Family vacation help please

Hi,

DH's family wants to do a family vacation in lieu of gifts this year for Christmas. We most likely wont travel until may or June. We have an idea of what we want but I thought I would ask for suggestions to research here. Our group would include his parents ( mid 50s), my Husband and myself along with our daughter who is currently 7 months but would be one by then, his 30 year old brother and 27 year old sister.

Requirements-
1. Good restaurants-FIL likes to eat at nice restaurants when traveling ( there are only 700 ppl and 1 family owned restaurant in their hometown)

2. Easy flight from Dallas (maybe 2-3 hours max direct)

3. Can be within US or international, most likely Carribbean

4. Everyone s leaning towards beach but I'm open to other suggestions

5. Activities/shopping close by

6. Can be a resort or vacation rental but needs to be easily accessible for DD to take naps

I would do a Caribbean cruise out of Galveston or Florida or an all-inclusive resort in Mexico.

I was married in Playa Del Carmen and had 25 quests come for a week. All inclusive resort.

We had a full range of ages from my parents down to my 2 year old niece and everyone said it was a blast.

I think if you want to fly direct and 2-3 hrs max your only options from Dallas is going to be Mexico or FL. The Destin area is nice and great for families if you want to stay in the US.

I vacationed in Destin every year growing up. We have actually discussed this as an option. His mom threw out South Carolina (Hilton Head) as an option but I haven't looked at flights there yet. Thanks for the ideas so far.
