Me too, so not exactly "charting". But being caught off guard sucks so I have to get the dates down somehow so I know when to expect the next one. My little notebook is outdated now, so I switched to an app.
ETA: I'm not on any type of birth control and H hasn't gotten the snip-snip yet (we use condoms).

I don't need to chart, I know when it's coming. I get crampy, weepy and I eat everything in site. I think two times in my life, my period took me by surprise.
By chart do you mean keep track of the starting date? I have the expected arrival date as an alert on my phone. I also alert about seven days beforehand to remind myself that I'm not nuts, it's just PMS.
I charted to avoid really well for almost four years.
See my ticker below for how well that ended up. Turns out international travel fucks with your system. Who knew?
This scares the crap out of me... Anyway I used to be on Nuvaring but went off of it about 2 years ago because of the side effects, and I had NO libido while on it.
I've been using the Billings method, I believe it is, for the past year, like checking cervical mucus and stuff. I just bought a basal thermometer and might start charting, I really don't want any slip-ups. We use condoms during fertile times. It's SO nice being off hormones, but worrying every month if my method is working is also tiresome.
