I'm hoping you guys can give me some insight. I feel, as a whole, that our society over tips, but I want to make sure I don't insult anyone by not tipping when I really should. Make sense?
I am having laser hair removal at a medical spa. They offer both medical and cosmetic dermatology treatments. Everything from laser hair removal to waxing to facial peels to botox injections. My treatments are going to be performed by a nurse practitioner. What do you guys think?
ETA: The facility is in Beverly Hills, if that makes a difference.

I leave my shoes and socks wherever they happen to fall when I take them off. He trips over them a lot.
Sometimes I leave the pet food cans out in the garage instead of bringing them in and putting them in recycling. I honestly forget. By the time I get inside and put all of the food bowls down I usually get distracted by something else, so I totally forget to go back in the garage and get the cans.
I don't laugh at his epic jokes.
I asked MH for examples of things I do that drive him crazy and he added that last one.

None of you guys know me because I can't post much, but if you are in the Simi Valley/Moorpark/Thousand Oaks area I would love to carpool. I'll drive...

When I'm at work I put it in the bum, but I work at a vet clinic so I guess that's to be expected. When at home I put it in my mouth.
Hmmm...after typing that I'm realizing it souds kind of funny. Let me clarify. At work I'm taking animals' temperatures, not my own. At home I use my own thermometer. Work thermometers stay at work. ;D
You styled it much better than the stylist did. I think it looks cute!
This exactly. You did a great job. I do love you face in the first picture you took. After looking at it for a couple of seconds I realized I was subconciously trying to make the same face.

I have had a massage from one of my best friend's husbands. He is also a really good friend of mine. I won't lie - it was a little awkward - but after the first couple of minutes I was more comfortable. I was naked on the table, but I think the fact that he wasn't seeing or touching my boobs or crotch area is what makes it different from the gyno situation. At least for me.
Also - my husband gives horrible massages, so I was extra grateful for an amazing one.
This is going to be amazing. I'm really exited to be coming, and I hope it doesn't freak you guys out that I'm mostly a lurker - I promise I'm 100% normal and can be a lot of fun. I've been trying to post more this week, but my job makes it really hard. You guys sound like a fun bunch, and I can't wait to meet you.

I wanted to invite my ex-boyfriend's family. Ex-bf and I dated for over four years and his family and I (me? I never know which one it is) were, and still are, very close. Now H is comfortable with the fact that I am still close with ex-bf and his family, but when we were getting married H was still uneasy about it. I knew it would make him uncomfortable if they were there, so I didn't even bring it up.

Well, damn. Consensus says I was wrong. I was seeing him up in the light colored tree on the left side of the photo. I though I could see him sitting in the branches with his right leg hanging straight down and his left leg bent. Bummer.

I always thought I would suspect something because I'm a pretty suspicious minded person (it's hard to surprise me with things). When it happened, though, I was completely surprised. I had no idea. None. I think it's because I was going to school 7 days a week at the time, so it was easier to do things without me knowing and my mind and time was always busy with school. Now that my life is more normal, and it's happened before, I think that I would be able to see red flags.

Yikes. That sounds scary. If it were me I would sure want a second opinion and some further testing to be sure it wasn't something more serious. Also, I completely understand where you are coming from in not being able to forgive yourself if you didn't speak up and something bad happened. I'm the same way. I would voice your concerns to him.

I'm glad you have made a plan that you are comfortable with. It sounds great. I'm wishing you the best of luck, and I'll be thinking about you and hoping everything goes smoothly.
I've heard making biscuits as well. I wondered if it was a southern thing, but I guess not! Your kitty is pretty, thinklikeajellyfish!
Pussy (but not vagina related): my cat loves annyong. He can be a little stranger-wary, but he walked right up and rubbed his orange fur all over her pant leg. He is a good judge of character
1st graders are exhausting. After only 2 hours with them I am beat.
My cat is making biscuits on my stomach right now. Why, oh why, does she have to choose the flabbiest part of my body? It's like she's pointing it out to me or something.
Making biscuits! Lol! I'm going to start saying that.
That's what I've always called it. I know there are some other names, but I can't think of what they are. She is the best biscuit maker I have, and even though she constantly points out my imperfections, it's so hard to be mad at this face:

Random from a lurker:
I just made a consultation appointment on Thursday for laser hair removal. I'm beyond excited (and a little nervous). I have been wanting to do this for years and I'm finally biting the bullet!
your dog is lovely! i don't have any brand recs, we bought a pair of clippers from petsmart. be careful though! it's so scary, i hate doing it. kirby's nails are dark and it's so hard to gauge where the end of the quick is so i don't hurt him. if you think she'd be open to it, i'd recommend a grinder - they work well, but kirby hates the noise.
I second a dremel. If you can gradually introduce it to her maybe the noise and feeling won't bother her. Turn it on (but don't touch her nails with it), and if she doesn't react badly to it give her a treat. Gradually get to where you can briefly touch a nail with it, and give her a treat if she does okay. Slowly build up the amount of time you keep it on her nail until you are able to dremel the entire nail. Good luck!
