I finally have an answer to what I would take from the house if it was on fire! It’s the best after a crappy day to be able to read through all of those memories. We’ve saved so much money over the years and the sweet cards aren’t just recycled or shoved in a box.
We started one for my mom at Christmas. The whole family wrote in it & then we add to it when we visit. She loves being able to read it when she’s lonely. Someone just bought one this weekend to use as a guest book for graduation.
Aw this is a sweet idea! My grandfather gave my grandmother the same Valentine's Day card for years-- it started because he forgot, but found the previous year's card in her desk LOL. So he wrote a new note and gave it again. Then it became a thing between them.
I loved the idea so much and tried to find the card when they passed, but either it was lost over the years or another family member took it.
Good luck with your business! It's a wonderful concept.

That’s really sweet! Thinking about our grandparents’ generation and how sweet it is to read their handwritten letters back and forth was part of my desire to have something analog. No one will ever find texts between my husband and I, but some day, if we have grandkids, they’ll be able to get a tiny glimpse into our relationship over the years.
Our tradition started when I was angry that my husband always had to stop at Target to get a card on the day of on his way home from work. I didn’t care so much about the card…I just wanted him home! It has worked out well for us!

That’s great! What I like best about it is that people will write something meaningful and from the heart rather than just signing their name to a card.
Great business idea! I told H this is what I wanted when we had kids too, so he got me a journal and has been doing this for a couple of years. It's nice when the kids actually cooperate and I get a cute drawing/scribble too 😂
