Brought to you by my work TEAMS chat, we were talking about how complaining about our clients was the glue that holds us together and I was thisclose to saying unity horse....but then had an OMG moment and quickly deleted
I used Unity Horse with my cousins once and nobody seemed bothered. They at least understood enough context to get my meaning. I say you should start using it with work people!
It’s definitely a here thing.
From your title, I thought this post might be something new we all could agreed upon and got excited!

Way back from the old site was when I was introduced to it. But it's entirely possible it was a random poster who encountered it in the wild and brought it to us. So, I'd say it might be a here thing and an everywhere thing.
I’ve never heard unity horse outside of here. Or bitch eating crackers for that matter but BEC was a meme before it became common nomenclature here so it’s a throwback but that one is definitely in the real world.
Ha! I use it once in a while and no one seems confused, lol. Although I usually use what I imagine to be the entire phrase: that’s a unity horse we all can ride. Is that even right?
I just googled bitch eating crackers. The oldest reference to it was a Will Ferrell comedy bit. A few weeks later he tweeted the same phrase. A short time later (a few weeks) was the first appearance of the phrase on here, complete with a meme. So it doesn’t seem like it was invented here. It may or may not have been invented by Will Ferrell. (Maybe he saw the meme first and was just quoting pop culture) But the first reference of it on here is pretty funny. Some people were in on the joke, Maybe had seen the meme, the tweet or the comedy bit. Some people were completely clueless. A handful of posters clearly had no idea what the phrase meant but we’re trying to fake their way through it like they were in on the joke. Lots of replies by posters who have since deleted their accounts. Strange trip down memory lane.
I would have bet Unity Horse was a real phrase but apparently it is from here 😂 I’ve definitely used it in the wild. I think we just shorted BEC here from the Bitch Eating Crackers meme. I’ve definitely used it, explained it and showed the meme to others who have adopted the phrase.
The first time I saw BEC was the SomeEcards meme that sort explained the usage of the term. Then it started getting used here. I've managed to introduce it into my friends group because it gave one of the guys the church giggles and now he probably uses it more than I did.
I don't remember the exact origins of the unity horse, but I've never seen it elsewhere.
Unity horse is from here. 3 regulars (I want to say it was me, ESF and maybe Pgh but I’m not sure) were posting jokes about unity this and unity that and looking for Americana images to go along with it. We found a unity horse - like the image above and for some reason it stuck. There was also a constitution horse for a while. That one was decked out in the text of the preamble

I was going to tag you but didn't know if you were still around
