The Circle- I like "Olivia" and Kyle. I really dislike Jordan, and not because he's being messy, I actually like that about him. He's just so negative and joyless. He reminds me of a sullen teenager.
Survivor makes me want to bang my head against the wall.
Amazing Race- the crew info was interesting. I've watched the Amazing Race on and off and never knew this before. I felt bad for them.
I wonder if it's really the end of Little People Big World now that Zach and Tori have called it quits? If none of the kids are going to be on it then it will be very boring I think.
I think Kyle could win the circle. He has allies on both "sides". I'm surprised Myles and QT formed such an instant alliance. Myles came in sounding like he was such a huge player with girls, and then immediately latched onto QT and never even talked to another girl lol. I have so many questions about the production of the circle. How long do they film for? Are people not allowed to chat outside of certain times or do they just not show anything else? I can't imagine being stuck in a room alone with no cellphone/internet/tv (I assume?) and not just chatting with people all day to do something. They send like three messages to each other and go "wow this was a great chat. Let's end this". How are you not bored out of your mind?!
Anyone watching Selling the OC? Im on episode 3 with Austin and Sean and want to discuss if it's true or not! I so far believe Sean. I think Austin is boring and the three white guys all look exactly alike so he needs a storyline to differentiate.
Ok I realized I could watch the finale of the circle. I liked it it was cute! BUT what is with guys on Netflix shows wearing a single dangly cross earring? I have literally never seen this in real life, and it seems like every single Netflix reality show has one guy that wears it. Do they get a bonus for it?! Lol. I felt like QT was not into Myles in person. I had another thought I can't remember now. Oh but the circle films for 15 days I got curious enough to Google.

I was so upset that they got eliminated last week! They were my favorite pair and had done so well, it sucks that they went out because they lost their crew. I feel like that's a flaw in the system, they should make sure the crew knows how to get there or have a backup crew on hand or something.
Why does Survivor want to make you bang your head against the wall? Q is annoying and the whole Applebees drama was silly (though being hangry is relatable) but otherwise I think it's been a good season overall with some smart blindsides. I liked Tiff as a player but they were smart to get rid of her last week.

They are bored! They also have to talk to the camera constantly. I think the Circle comes in and says, "ok, now you are going to chat with so-and-so." or "ok, time to end the chat with so-and-so". But I think the vast majority of the chat isn't shown.

They keep going home with idols in their pocket!! How many in a row? Like five in a row? It's nuts. If I was on the season, I'd definitely keep Q around because there's no way he's winning.

The first season I watched I assumed they could chat whenever they wanted and we were only seeing certain chats, but after watching a few seasons it was clear that's not the case. I think they can only reach out to so many people a day as well, which is why contestants say things like "well, s/he never reached out to me so..." They also MUST have to have so many hashtags in every response, lol. So annoying.

And why is no one looking for the idols that should be back in play now? Especially since everyone knew they had idols?!? I can't stand Q either but I'd keep him around too because everyone else doesn't like him

Me too! I was so bummed, they were one of my favorite teams to win.
Also agree about Survivor, however, i thought the blindside this week made sense.
Has anyone watched Traitors Australia? I watched it last week and was gobsmacked at how incredibly poorly the faithfuls and traitors played. Sammy was such an unlikeable person, I cannot believe how well he manipulated literally everyone. I was happy with the ending (trying not to spoil it in case someone wants to watch and then talk about it with me).

It was absolutely hilarious how awful the faithfuls were! And I really do appreciate that I watch from home and know who the traitors are and they do not so it's harder that it looks, but they were so bad it was comedy gold. I also liked the ending. I think that may be my favorite season but I think a lot of people hated it for all of the reasons I loved it, lol.

I don't work on The Circle but the production limits the time they can message. Back in the day shows would film 24/7 to see what happens, but now budgets are much tighter, they don't want to pay for the crew to go through 24 hours of footage. Plus consolidating it to a specific time means as a producer you can guarantee something happens.
And yes, they are stuck without cellphone/internet/tv etc, which is standard on any sort of shows where you live on set. It's part of the psychology, it's a lot easier to break person if they don't have another outlet. And yes, it's boring, but the shooting schedule can be pretty packed. Sit down interviews take anywhere from 2-4 hours for each episode per person.

Ohhhh yeah I forgot about that part. Yes! I agree with you there. What is the point of an idol if you don't use it???

Yeah! And I get that some contestants get caught off guard because they *think* they know they're safe but I was yelling at my TV when Hunter didn't use his. Hunter and Tiffany were both huge threats! I'd take them out if I was on this season.

And everyone knew about their idols, so it shouldn't have been surprising that they were going to try to flush them. Tiff hanging onto hers for 2 more votes was definitely a stupid move.

You’d think after the first one made that mistake, others would learn. But nooooo

I hated all of the contestants so much that I didn't bother watching the last 3 episodes and skipped to the end of the finale just to see who won.
OMG another idol in a pocket walks out of tribal! So dumb!
They are all so stupid. Why are they all so damn stupid. At this point in time, I hope Q wins, because he's the only one that is like I don't givafuck.

I like Charlie! And Maria is ok. I don't understand why they bothered voting out Venus, she was not a threat. And she was dumb to go home with an idol in her pocket.
This season is chaos. I don't hate it, but it's probably not one of the better ones.
I just started watching this season of the circle. So far Max is the most likable, which doesn't bode well LOL. I appreciate the comment that this is a better season than the last few, so I will give it a chance.
For survivor, I thought it was Maria's game to lose, but she really managed to blow that up by taking Q to the reward. I honestly think that losing reward is a better strategy-- leaving people out of reward alienates them by default. You are better off avoiding the decision entirely.

I know I'm probably the only person watching masterchef au, but they just did the 1 inch cube test (that might be specific to that country, but hells kitchen does a blind taste test, too, so kinda like that).
This guy couldn't guess beetroot. Yes, they're blindfolded, and I don't know if the ingredients are raw or cooked which could definitely throw someone off. But, beets have a strong dirt taste to me. I've tried to like them, including in Australia where they're everywhere, so theoretically they're good at cooking them, but it's always sweet dirt.
THe important question of the day, is this like cilantro where some people swear it's soap and others enjoy it? Is there a beetroot dirt gene? There's a gene to make stinky pee from asparagus and another to detect it, so in the fascinating world of botany and genetics, nothing would surprise me.
Related, did you know you can buy taste testing strips that have a single chemical? Depending on your genetics, you might taste merely plain paper or something very bitter. Just call me john lee supertaster, because I tasted all the bitter ones strongly and was quite sensitive to the sweet ones which were done at varying concentrations and with different sugars.
Oddly, I love the smell of dirt after rain, and I found some sources saying if you think beets taste like dirt you're probably put off by wet dirt smells, too.

I'm irrationally mildly irritated by the labels for amazing racers. There are "girlfriends" "boyfriends" "grandparents" and "dating nurses." I know they use professions if they're coworkers and generic terms for couples and have simply used "dating" in the past. It just struck me as odd that it wasn't parallel.
But, it's whole heaps better than gimmicky seasons they've had in the past, even if this was a pandemic season that never left the western hemisphere.
