This is a TV show, but one of my kids tries to describe something to us that is completely non-sensical, MH and I say "Why don't you just tell me the name of the movie you want to see?" (From Seinfeld, where they published Kramer's number as the MoviePhone number and he tries to provide the movie times to callers.)
The kids, of course, have no idea what we are talking about.
My mom threatened to kick me, my brother and my dad out of the house when we turned basically every dinner together into a Seinfeld quote-a-thon.
My brother and I like to quote the Fugitive to each other a lot - "I don't care" said in Tommy Lee Jones's voice and "I.don't.bargain."
Haha, me and H never watched The Fugitive together but we both loved it as kids. If I see orange peels I say "we're eating oranges and making ID's". I need to watch that movie in my adulthood.

"I'd like to take his...face...off" from Face/Off with Nicholas Cage. I don't know how I manage to work that into regular conversation, but it has becoming a running joke with our group of friends that I do, often. It took several uses of it for my bff's dh to question me on what it was from, and when the rest of us realized he had never seen the masterpiece that is Face/Off we made him watch it. And then the next Christmas, I gave a Nicholas Cage flip sequin pillow as my white elephant gift.

YES! Love it. I probably watch that movie once a year, at least. It's a comfort movie for me.

So many
Billy Madison is a household fav "Stop looking at me, Swan" - anything/body looking toward anyone for an awkward amount of time "Snack-pack! You're the coolest!" Said about anything one of us gets from the grocery store that the other really enjoys "He called the shit poop" My H calls me Devil Woman
Talladega Nights "There's a cougar in the car!" We say it about our cat being anywhere funny
Not a movie, Friends. "You ate my sandwich?!?!?!?"
No idea why but at least once a year my brother or I will text each other "they're turning the ship around. They're taking us back to Germany." - from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
Not a movie, but we also use "why don't you go purify yourself in the waters of lake Minnetonka?" from Chappelle Show.

This post inspired me to put it on. I cannot believe how old everything looks!

Off the top of my head
so many of the quotes in this thread. The âI like the baby one!â When heâs praying to baby Jesus. âHe was a man!!â
Indiana jones - âno ticketâ
Everything Mel brooks, bill murray (all of cadyshack - I donât think the heavy stuff is going to come done for a whileâ). And ones others said - were big in quote. The ones that really get us are the odd movies others donât quote like 12 angry men. Apparently that Seven âwhatâs in the box? line gets quoted by dh and all his work colleagues in their homes.
ETA: Mom says "Alrighty then" from Ace Ventura all the time, haha. And Dumb & Dumber is heavily quoted - ' so you're sayin there's a chance!' My kids quote it now too, which is so funny from 7 yr old DD. When something dies of an unnatural cause we tend to say "yeah, he was pretty old..."
Love saying "baby steps...." from What about bob. DH and I can also speak universally in show/movie quotes. And often think of the same ones for situations. We usually joke that the next step is divorce or murder/suicide b/c we've gone as far together as we probably should.
I don't know MARGOT - Christmas vacation You'll shoot your eye out - Christmas Story Are you too good for your home? - Happy Gilmore Penguin! I see what's goin' on around here - Billy Madison
MH and I use "Just smile and wave boys, smile and wave" from Madagascar alot "Say hello to my little friend" - Scarface - whenever I have to get the pup in the bath, brandishing a shampoo bottle "I am serious, and don't call me Shirley" - Airplane (every time I watch it I always find a new giggle)
"Not great, Bob" from Mad Men is probably the one me and H use the most. But we have millions!
Ha, I was coming in to say this. That and âI wish the lord would take meâ (Tonyâs mom in The Sopranos)
She was great for that
Livia: Why does everything have to have a purpose? The world is a jungle and if you want my advice Anthony, don't expect happiness. You won't get it. People let you down and I'm not naming any names but in the end you die in your own arms. A.J.: You mean alone. Livia: It's all a big nothing. What makes you think you're so special?
Oddly both of mine involve Pugsley from the Addams Family movie.
As I get up and come downstairs after everyone else âwhereâs the party?â and when the dogs are curled up on their bed she âlooks like a little entreeâ .
