For me yes. I began using them when my daughter was born 2017 and have replaced the set one time. We have 1700 square feet and a small laundry closet (no basement) so not having to mess with storing them and the fact they are easier to carry has been great!
I don’t use collapsible ones. If you are in the market for purchase, I can recommend the small square ones (Mine are flexible, too). I use 2 on a shelf in my closet. One for whites and one for darks. One load per basket when full. Super convenient to toss dirty clothes in, carry down to the laundry room, do a load, dry, and walk folded clothes back upstairs. Stuff is already separated. Super easy to store since they are always in use. Also, I don’t feel overwhelmed doing one load at a time a few times a week before/after work. I rarely do laundry on the weekends. I still use my regular basket for towels.

I don't think so. We keep ours in our closets to collect dirty laundry, then they sit by the washer while we wash clothes, then we fold clean clothes into them. Distribute the clean clothes, place the empty baskets back in the closet it came from, repeat. So there's never a need to store them.
We live in a condo so I love them because they save me space. They eventually tear at the flexible seam but mine lasted for several years. I bought a replacement after my first one broke.
Our collapsable baskets fit perfectly in the bench at the end of the bed, so our laundry is hidden. It’s 100% the only reason I bought them and I love them.
We also have one that we use for the pool and I love it for that.
Someone gave me one and then I gave it away. If I set it down too forcefully (which wasn't really that forcefully at all) it would collapse and spill whatever was in it.
Had it for about 8 or so years and it is still working perfectly. I love it, it collapses if we need it too (ha, never), is strong, lightweight for carrying full ass loads up and down the stairs, the cat loves to play with it, my son uses it for his forts, etc. Not a scratch or rip on it.
I don’t like them. I got a tall hamper/basket hybrid thing from Walmart for the kids and that’s my favorite. It’s sturdy but lightweight and easy to carry. Has plenty of room for folded clean clothes and they don’t unfold.
Mine ripped itself in half st one of the fold points, but I got 3-4 years out of it before that.
We have had ours a few years and have one with a small Tear in the fold, but i can stack two together between my w/d when they’re collapsed which is what i need.

I love mine so much and so does H. It has doubled as a motivational tool, because H knows if he takes too long putting his clothes away, I'm going to get up his ass because my favorite laundry basket is unavailable!

My kids have these style and love them- the wires are coming out of one, but they love it so much they duct taped it back in! I offered to buy another one too!
