I saw last nights episode adn the first one. Both "guys" turned out to be girls who were getting revenge or doing it "just bc". I think that is SUPER DUPER messed up....they pretended to be guys for like 1-2 years! That is a LOT Of effort!
The more I keep reading on here about this show, I'm gonna have to actually watch it sometime.
They went for years with this charade? I can't fathom having the stamina/interest to keep up something that odd for so long. These people have to be nuts, right?

I've only seen one episode, and it was the one where the girl's long-term online best friend didn't want to meet her because he had gained a ton of weight. I kinda want to see one where the person turns out to be fake.
I swear this is what happens when kids (and adults for that matter) don't have any hobbies, activities and are bored. I mean really, these people must have way too much time on their hands. When I have kids, I am keeping them too busy to waste time pulling this crap off.
I have a love/hate relationship with this show. I cannot wrap my head around how this can possibly be true....and yet, I can see how someone could get played like that online. But what in the world would the motivation be to be on TV coming out about lying??
I watched the 1st 2 episodes and the 1st one was really crazy. I don't understand who has the time to fake being someone else. She claimed she was being bullied but I am pretty sure that's not the reason since she wasn't bullying anyone online. She was a lesbian and she was getting off of seducing cute girls online.
So it's just a show about a bunch of people who talk to ppl on dating websites and the people turn out to be fakers?
Ummm, sort of? I don't know that they're all from dating websites, but their relationships have all started online and they've not met...until the dude from Catfish hooks them up. And then....dun dun dun.....they're not exactly who they said they were!
It was from the movie, Catfish: The woman's husband (near the ending) tells a story about how when certain fish are caught and are transported in tanks, they would often die because they wouldn't swim around and keep themselves moving. So, people would put catfish in the tanks with the other fish to keep them stimulated and moving around. He says that catfish are people who keep you on your toes. Like people in your life who will keep you going in all situations. (Thank you Google!)
