DD will physically pull up on my hands (definitely not on other stuff, which I'm not really worried about), but she acts like she can hardly stand holding on to my hands once she's up. She won't stand flat-footed at all and doesn't hardly straighten her legs or lock them at all. So she kind of just does this weird tip-toed wobbly thing for a couple minutes max until she just gives up trying. Her poor little legs look like noodles! Any other LOs like this? Would you be concerned or is that normal? DS was freakishly strong so it's weird for me.
Forget standing, Sam still doesn't sit unsupported!!
But actually she does stand, supported, pretty well. She does this thing with her right foot though, where she turns it over, like she's twisting her ankle. It is getting better now though since we have been practicing standing a lot more.

D will be 8mos this weekend and it is like she just realized her legs can be used vertically in the last week and a half. Suddenly she can lock her knees whereas before she was a jello leg baby.
Thanks ladies. Glad to hear it's normal. DS and DD are so different that I feel like a FTM a lot of times. He was practically pulled out of me standing up and holding his head up lol. It seems like she tries and REALLY wants to keep up with DS, but she just looks like a little wobbly hula dancer lol.
Nope, minimal weight bearing here. Her legs just fold. She actually had xrays and saw ortho today and they gave her a clean bill of health and suspect she will when she is ready
8.5 months and no supported standing. Her knees buckle. But she's also huge. I don't think her bones are developed enough to support her weight yet.
I also think it's a size issue a lot of the time. Mine is really small so it's not hard for him to support his weight - he's barely 17lb. I wouldn't worry at all, Biblio!!
