C&P from ML and follow up to my L&D post

I Had horrible pain all day on Sunday, finally called advice nurse and they sent me to L&D. No fever, clear urine, so they diagnosed me with a bad musculoskeletal strain. Slept in yesterday, went to work at 11, started feeling yucky again and by 3 I was freezing. Had a routine clinic appt with GI and was in a lot of pain and starting to shiver. He sent me to lab for urinalysis and blood draw. By the time I got home I was shivering so badly my husband said he'd never seen anyone look like that. Got in a hot shower and got in bed. Then l got really hot. Checked my temp 3 times and it was 102. Called and they sent me in again, this time they admitted me. Urine still looked clear, WBC was Elevated so they thought appendicitis. Luckily the ultrasound tech went out of her orders because she followed the pain and found a kidney stone and the they diagnosed pyelonephritis or kidney indectionHave to be fever free for 24 hours so probably home tomorrow morning. I do not recommend these diagnoses while pregnant or otherwise. Baby however seems to have not concern as its happily bouncing around in there! I did have several contractions but they said the antibiotics should help slow those down and it already seem like it has. I'm not dialated at all so that's good!

Oh, L&O, I'm glad you're on the mend. That sounds terrible. My sister passed kidney stones while she was about as pregnant as you and it was so scary and horrible sounding.

I'm scared to pass them (or it)...I've heard its not fun, and this was miserable enough!

On the plus side, morphine is cool while pregnant, so you would have some relief. But still, not optimal.
