I started running in late August, and I've worked my way up to 6.2 miles 3-4x a week right now (I used to want to die after running a mile... ). I run the 6.2 in around 55-60 minutes right now. Should I continue to just run the 10k mileage and work on increasing my speed or should I keep on training and move onto distance running a half? I've actually never done a race before; but I've signed up for a 10k in March..

What seems more exciting for you? For me, I enjoy adding distance so that was my next step. Now that I've done a couple of halfs, I do shorter runs during the week with a focus on speed and I do a longer run on the weekend to focus on distance.
