I'm a plus size woman looking for short hair recs. Please PIP anything that you think would work for round faces. I currently have shoulder length hair that I wear in a ponytail all the time. I would like something that is pretty low maintenance. Preferably chin length or shorter. Thanks for your help!

I think this is a great cut for a round face. The sideswept bangs will give an angle and take away from being so "round". I think a layered bob that hits a little below the chin is great too. It is easy but has some style to it.
Generally rounder faces tend to do well with cuts past the chin because it elongates the face. I also have a round face and I have just above shoulder length with layers.
How much are you willing to do with your hair every day? Some people just can't wash-and-go because their hair curls out and does weird wavy stuff, like mine. What is your hair like?
I think longer in the front is best - avoid short layers framing your face.
I like kind of an angled bob - shorter in the back, subtly growing longer toward the front. I'm not talking about a circa 1999 stacked bob, but just a nice gradual lengthening.

I've had chin length bobs in the past and I do like the look of the inverted bob. I was considering an inverted bob with a thicker, side swept bang but I can't find a good pic of what I want. I usually can't wash and go because my hair is naturally curly so i prefer to straighten it when I style. I am willing to put some effort into it but not much past straightening out the curl. My hair is pretty thick also so it usually falls flat if I don't have it cut short. Probably the reason I wear it in a ponytail all the time.

My hair is also super thick - my hair dresser thins it out every 4-6 weeks. My hair is also naturally wavy and not in a good way. I straighten my hair after every wash, otherwise it's a hot mess.
This is about 3.5 weeks after a cut - Sent from my HTC One X using proboards

I really love this cut.
OP, just keep in mind if you get this cut you'll have to dry and most likely straighten every day, so it won't really change your routine from your current cut.

fyi: I don't wash my hair every day - every 2-3 days.. i just run the straightner over it on days I dont' wash and it's good to go in a few minutes. ..
even if you do dry/straighten every day the time cut is significant. My hair was mid back in July, and it was a ginormous process to dry/straighten every

I also go about 2-3 days between washes so the time difference in straightening on wash days is really what is drawing me to a short style. Thanks for all the suggestions!
