Like, a place to post when you are dealing with new issues that arise with a loved one, or you just want to talk to someone that might be going through the same thing, or has. I looked at health and fitness, but I don't see anything.
I'm really sorry about what you're going through with your dad, Jess.
Thanks. We just got word today that he has 30 "decent" weeks left and then probably 4 really bad ones. Which puts us in July. I don't know how they can tell that.
I think even a "real" board dedicated to dealing w/ the loss of a loved one, regardless of the reason, would be a welcome addition. On the gbcn side though, not the baby side, because I think loss of a child is entirely different and should be kept that way.
These boards are awesome too, when dealing with this sort of thing, but I don't know...just a thought. Heck, family drama could be renamed since it's pretty dead.

I'm sorry about your dad. I had a cancer scare earlier this year (which included multiple surgeries). I'm currently messaging back and forth with someone in the early phases of determining cancer or benign.
If there is a cancer board, I would hope it could include people with personal scares/cancer history as well as dealing with loved ones with cancer.
If it's a loss of a loved on board, then maybe another board for people who are in the diagnosis process/or have significant health issues. Even though I am lucky and it wasn't cancer the whole process was overwhelming and scary. I was very lucky to have a close local friend who had been through actual cancer and is in remission to help me through the process and validate that I wasn't going crazy for no reason.
