He just posted it on FB. He's been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. I knew him from my HS job, and just recently caught up with him on FB. He is one of the nicest, smartest people I've ever known. And he has a baby under a year old. Life really sucks sometimes.
I'm thinking of sending him something, but don't have much to spend. Anyone have any suggestions?
What kind of procedures is he undergoing treatment for? After his last surgery, DH was pretty much housebound for two months unless he had a 'chaperone' and he really appreciated anything to keep him occupied. - DVDs, magazines, etc.
As a family, we appreciated grocery delivery gift certificates, meal trains, etc.

My husband thrived on cards and messages (we had a Caringbridge site) so I always say a card with a sentence or two. Are you local? If so, and if he wants it, a visit in person. My husband was also pretty lonesome, and it was hard for visitors because he had not lost his cognitive abilities, but he had lost his ability to speak. (He had multiple brain tumors.)
