We are living overseas right now and all of our family back in the States are demanding baby pictures on the regular. I don't want to be posting pics on facebook everyday of our girl because I am sure some people might not care to see 10+ pictures a day of our girl (like highschool friends that I don't associate with much, etc).
DH suggested setting up a facebook account for our 1 week old. I think that is crazy, but haven't ruled it out. I told him I would ask around here. How do you share pictures with your long distance friends/family?
You can email all the members or else you can adjust the email settings to send out monthly digests with updates. (I think! I'm included on a couple of my friend's pages but I just recently set one up for my family.)

I've been thinking about starting a Shutterfly share site since I use them for all my photo stuff anyway. I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
For those that have one, does it take long to get it started?
My parents asked me to set up a site on Walgreens. That way they can have copies of the pictures they want printed out and they can pick them up at their local store. My mom in particular is not terribly tech savvy, so anything that would involve them having to order prints off the internet was out.

super easy. just select the photos you want in an album and hit "share". The page is really easy to manage too; you can customize as much or as little as you like.
we have a shutterfly share site and it is easy to use but our internet is slow so it takes a while to actually upload the pics, so that is a pain. Once the pictures are uploaded into shutterfly though its pretty easy.
I've also started a photo stream on my iphone and I share my iphone pics with some people that way, but I think everyone involved needs to have an iphone or ipad? I'm not positive about that though.
