The Philippines is on our list of places to see in the next few months but we currently live in Seoul so it's just a short flight. So far we've looked into Manila, Cebu, and Boracay. We just want to escape the cold and relax on the beach.
On our flight from the US to Korea, I made sure to drink plenty of water and have snacks within reach. Baby wipes to freshen up, lotion, fuzzy socks, blankets and a travel pillow are a must. I tried to get up every hour or so just to walk around, too.
really? the hub went to zimbabwe on a missions trip a few years ago and while it was a lot of work, there was play too. there's no time for sightseeing at all built into your trip?
The highlights for me were the hot springs just outside of Manila, and Boracay. If you go to Boracay, be sure to stop by the beaches on the north east side of the island. They're almost deserted but really beautiful.
For the long flight, bring ear plugs, head phones, eye mask, and neck pillow. Wear comfortable shoes that could be easily taken off.
