I am making a purchase on Amazon, and there is an American Express card listed under my payment options in my account. The cardholder name is "A Gift For You." I have no idea where this came from. Any ideas?
Me:I noticed there is an American Express card listed on my account and it says the cardholder name is "A Gift For You." I have no idea where this came from. Can you tell me if it's a gift I received or something? Amazon:Hello, my name is Amazon. I'll be happy to help you today. Me:Hi, thanks. I don't know where the American Express card on my account came from. Amazon:It seems this is prepaid card, may be you've got it as a gift. But we don't have any information about this. Me:Is there a way to see the amount on it? Should I go ahead and use it for payment? Amazon:You need to contact the issuer of this card. Me:Do you mean American Express? Amazon:Yes. Me:I don't have the full card number. I don't think they will be able to help me without it. Amazon:Applesauce, even we also not able to check the complete card number because of security reasons. Me:So there is no way to tell the history of who or when it was added to my account? Amazon:I wish I could tell you but yes there is no way to find the history of who or when it was added to my account? Me:If American Express cannot tell me anything else, what should I do with it on my account? Should I use it or not? Amazon:Yes, you can use it, if it is on your account then it is yours because no one else added this on your account. Me:Ok, thank you.
Haha, I was laughing about that to my husband. I also liked the part where she told me there was no way to know who added it to my account but then said no one else did, implying that I must have done it.
