I love my vet's office. Long story made short, the vet has really been working with me to cut down to Nora's expenses after I made an off hand comment on how emotionally, financially and time-wise draining this was. At times he will just have me call him to update him on Nora instead of bringing her in or will not charge me for an office visit when I do bring her in.
Anyway, I want to bring them some holiday treats for a thank you. Which begs the question:
homemade or store bought from a phenomenal little local bakery?
Homemade is more thoughtful but I was always a little hesitant eating shit that a client had made because you don't really know them and their cleanliness habits, kwim?
I would do then bakery and add a sweet card. Maybe include a pic of the dog? My vet often pins thank you cards on a bulletin board in the waiting room.

Yeah, I was planning on printing out a pic of Nora and putting that and a card with it.
Do they have a cookie bouqet company anywhere near you? I have sent those before to businesses and they were always a hit. Not only do they look great but taste good too.
Bakery for sure. Mostly because I'm lazy. I'd probably then try to pass them off as mine. They'd assume by the awesome craftsmanship that my kitchen is clean. It's a win/win.
I know you mean well but if someone tells me they can't afford to pay a bill they owe me and then buys me things from a bakery..... that seems odd to me. Can't afford to pay a bill but can afford to buy from a bakery. I agree bakery for people that don't know you, don't have a clue whether your kitchen is clean or not but it seems off to me.
Just my opinion and from reading above, I'm the only one that thinks this.

I never said that I can't afford to pay the bills and I have paid all my bills to them. It is just I have to bring her in weekly and it adds up. I just made an off hand comment about how she is my "million dollar dog" because of how often I am forking over money to them.
ETA: They don't cut my bills all the time. Maybe 4 times they either charged me a reduced rate, or didn't charge me at all. I just appreciate the fact that they are not needlessly having me bring her in or charging me full price all the time given how much $$ I have spent there. In the grand scheme of things 4 times is not a lot (compared to how often I have paid full price). Regardless, I really appreciated those 4 times.
