I just finished Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore, which is in the running for best book I've read this year. I'm not sure what I'm starting next. I think I'm going to try The Magnetic North: Notes from the Arctic Circle and probably something fiction also.
I might start Life of Pi today, but I'm not looking forward to it, so I don't know. In theory I'm still reading Coast of Dreams, although I've knocked it aside for other books lately.
Currently I'm reading the Harry Potter series (on Chamber of Secrets), and also The Secret Letters of Marilyn Monroe and Jacqueline Kennedy by Wendy Leigh.

I'm about halfway through Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor. I'm really enjoying it! In fact, I think I like it even better than the first book in the series.

I just got Sharp Objects, The Midwife (the memoir Call the Midwife was based on), and Tell the Wolves I'm Home from the library. Why does everything always come at once?[/whine]

I'm a chapter away from finishing Urn Burial -- the mystery has been solved, now all that's left is to wrap up a couple of non-mystery-based sub-plots.

Just finished Innocent Traitor on audio, by Allison Weir. It's about the Lady Jane Grey and her reign as Queen of England for 9 days. Very good, if you're at all interested in Tudor history.
Started The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver on audio, but not very far into it so I have no opinion yet. The reader speaks in a highly enunciated manner that is kind of annoying. I'm hoping she relaxes as we get farther into the story.
On kindle I just finished Anna Karenina which I enjoyed quite a lot. And I started The Enchantments, which is about the end of the Romanovs and Rasputin's daughter. I guess I'm going through a Russian phase.

I'm looking for something new to read. I may have to look into the books everyone posted about and maybe read those. Any other books anyone recommends?
