I really feel awful for the nurse and her family.

As to the DJs, I can't imagine they really thought they would get through to someone. I bet money they thought they'd get an awkward 5 minutes out of the receptionist where she tried to decide if she was actually talking to the queen before being given the kiss off.

Should they feel bad? Sure. But I'm not mad at them.

I guess this is why I generally detest practical "jokes." They are aimed at humiliating others for the sole sake of your own and others' amusement, consequences unintended or otherwise be damned. I just don't really get behind that, ever.

Her legal first name is still Catherine. The phrasing is just weird to me, very "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince."

It's pretty standard phrasing in journalistic writing styles. Her last name is no longer Middleton, even if that's how most people know her. It's an alternative to using the word née, and some publications' style guides discourage routine use of foreign words and phrases, so this is what you get in place.

I still am trying to get up th courage to change my name..it has been 5 years and I just can't do it. But I guess it may never happen. I really have an issue with it.
