Did you know a new season of Top Chef is on?

I just happened to catch episode 2 by accident but keep forgetting to set my DVR for it. I love the show too! Guess all my other shows are just dominating my attention

I have it on the DVR but I'm into The Next Iron Chef Redemption right now. I'm such a sucker for cooking competition shows. Marcel is on it and I'm strangely rooting for him against all the older and more accomplished chefs. It would be cool if he won!

Sorry! I think you were on safari when it started so I didn't post anything. I didn't realize other people here were watching!

There are way too many chefs on right now so I can't give you the complete rundown because I don't know anyone's name. Have you watched any episodes yet? They brought back three former contestants to compete with the new ones. Stefan, CJ, and Josie. I am not a fan of this twist although I am enjoying Stefan's commentary. CJ and Josie have been more annoying than anything.

Looking at the cast list now... my favorites are Kristen (works at Stir in Boston) and Sheldon (Hawaiian). Least favorites are John and Josh (both super annoying). Also Danyele just because of her heavy bottom lid eyeliner. They are doing last chance kitchen again and told the contestants about it this year. So that will be interesting. I haven't watched any of those yet.

ALSO I am watching Next Iron Chef, haha. I too am a sucker for cooking competitions. **********SPOILERS********* I was rooting for Faulkner and was super bummed when she went home last week. I never thought Marcel had a chance but after the last two episodes I could see it happening. He would actually be a good personality for the show, even though I find him super annoying in large doses. I think maybe on Iron Chef with fewer talking head segments he wouldn't have as many chances to annoy me.

Yeah, I was bummed for Faulkner too!!! She was so upset too, it was sad. I really hope a woman wins it this time! I'm rooting for Chef Alex Guarnasheli (I have no idea how to spell her last name) but I really like her. Or Chef Freitag. I really want one of them to win!

Marcel is annoying, but somehow I can't help but want him to stick around! I think it's because he's an underdog to me, so much younger than these much more accomplished chefs. Yes he's the same Marcel from Top Chef. But he's definitely less of a jerk on Iron Chef.

I don't like Alex for some reason. Both personally and I never find her food that interesting. I think I'm team Freitag at this point.
