We just rented "Looking for a Friend for the End of the World" with Steve Carrell. It was horrible. DH is now banned from selecting movies for us to watch.
What should we rent next time? Give me something good!!
I got DH to agree to watch Hunger Games, and he mocked the shit out of it....until we actually sat down and watched the thing, and then he was like, huh that was actually really good.
Others to consider...(these have all been in our Netflix queue lately)
TV: Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Sherlock (BBC), Tudors
Movie: An Education, The Artist, Tropic Thunder, Paris Je T'aime, Midnight In Paris
I don't think I've said the words "rent a movie" in years! lol You should get Netflix - when you watch a movie, rate it afterwards (not a public review - kind of like Pandora's thumbs up/down), and then it'll suggest movies you might like with that in mind (whether you hated it or loved it).

tarheels - you are so right about it being a lost phrase. We were just talking about how we miss walking around Blockbuster the way we used to. We don't have Netflix (we did and then barely used it) but we use Redbox for $1 movies.
