DH is going to Atlanta for a work trip. He'll be staying in the Mcdonough area. What are the best places to eat around there? He loves Indian, Cajun, Italian, Mexican, and American. Thanks!
McDonough is 30 miles from Atlanta. Will he have a car?
Shows how much I know about the geography of Georgia! Yes, he will have a car. Of course, the closer to McDonough the better, but I'm sure he'll drive into Atlanta at least once.
Yeah, McDonough is basically strip malls with chain stores. Unless he wants to drive 30 miles into Atlanta, he'll probably be eating at Chili's and Longhorn. There really isn't much of anything between McDonough and Atlanta, either. There are a couple of local McDonough restaurants on Yelp that get good reviews, so you may want to check that out.
He needs to go to Atlanta at least once to eat. My favorites are Chops, the Buckhead Diner, Woodfire Grill, Carver's Country Kitchen (lunch only, 11-3, best $12 you will ever spend on comfort food), and of course The Varsity.

My husband is in Atlanta this week for work and I just forwarded this list to him. Thank you!
The Iberian Pig in Decatur is one of my all-time favorites. I also love Restaurant Eugene in Buckhead (but it's pretty fancy) and Wisteria and Fritti in Inman Park. Antico is great for pizza as choco mentioned. Empire State South is another yummy midtown pick. Oh, and Floataway Cafe and Abbatoir are great too in west midtown.

I agree with all of these and would add Ecco and Aria to the list. Sotto Sotto too. I wasn't as thrilled with Empire State South as other people.
