It's Monday. I'm sure there will be plenty of these today.
It irritates me when women at work come into the office and then go straight to the bathroom to do their hair and put on makeup. Why don't you just do it at home and not have to bring your crap in?
That is very odd. What do they look like when they arrive?
I hate the people that come up too close in line. Yes. You are next. Nobody will try to push between us. It happens to me at Starbucks and the grocery store but it also annoys me when customers do it at the pharmacy. Back off.
H and I are trying to watch what we spend for the rest of the month yet he spent $10 on a Kindle book yesterday. It's not much, but it's annoying me today.

Damp and fresh faces. I just don't know why they don't spend an extra 5-10 minutes at home getting ready. I'd understand if it was a one time thing, like their carpool showed up and they didn't have time, but it's the same few women every. single. day.
I do my makeup in my car in the parking lot when i get to work. I work out in the morning and I need an extra 10 min. to completely get rid of my bright red face. I'd do it in the bathroom, but the light sucks.
I cringe every time I hear one of reporters on morning edition mispronounce the word important. Immpordan is not a word.
Could be they just came from the gym or something? I know a day like this over with it being rainy,I head to the bathroom to fix my hair since I have a hood on.
Re. People mispronouncing words. I feel like I am getting dumber listening to these people. I have started saying "whenever" instead of "when". I hate that.

This happened to me yesterday at Marshalls, and it was so annoying.
I also hate it when people ignore the fact that there are multiple people already waiting for their drinks at Starbucks, and mosey right up to the counter. Once, I was waiting with about 4-5 other people for our drinks, this woman ordered her drink from the cashier, wandered over to the bar, then plopped her purse down and started digging through it. When the barista called the drink, she went to take it, then said, "oh, this isn't mine" all huffily. Well, no shit. It belongs to one of the GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WERE AHEAD OF YOU IN LINE! jerk.
I hate it when I am driving down an open highway with the road mostly to myself and another car enters the highway. It's like the existence of another motorist annoys me. It's a 1000% times worse when that other person insists on playing leap frog down the road.
Coworkers who sigh loudly, or say, "Oh my gosh!" expecting you to jump up and help them. If you need my help, ask, otherwise you will be ignored.

Oh, this too. I have a coworker that will say "this is crazy" 5+ times a day. I wonder if he even knows he does it.

I am training the guy who will be working my maternity leave, then they plan to keep him on my project after I get back with me as the lead. When he asks questions I try to give him thorough answers to which he always responds, "of course." This is driving me crazy. The proper response is, "ok, thank you" or something along those lines. Which brings me to my second annoyance. It is pronounced "oh kay" not "ah kah."

I actually said andplusalso the other day and I about died as soon as the words were out of my mouth.

I mispronounce words all the time due to a medical condition out of my control. It sucks and of course everyone notices but it would be nice if they didn't notice.
I'd never considered that. Now I feel like a complete jackass.

People who call your cell and don't leave a message, yet expect a call back, irritate me to NO end. LEAVE A FUCKING MESSAGE and I will return your call. That is what voice mail is for. I am not so obsessed with my phone that I monitor my call log to see who I missed, and if you don't leave a message, I assume that you don't really need to talk to me.
I am sick to death of hearing people ask why I didn't call them back when they never even bothered to leave a message. WTF is with this? Is this the new etiquette?
I don't think this is irrational, but after it snows, its still not ok to drive down the middle of the road and pretend its a one way. Just because you can't see the center line in some places doesn't mean that oncoming traffic should drive in the ditch!!

I'd say yes. Most people I know get annoyed when someone does leave a message because they know that person called, they'll call them back, and checking voicemail on top of returning the call is just a hassle.

I agree. I'd rather the person not leave a message if it's just going to be "hi, call me back." Leave a message only if you actually have something important to say or if I have no clue who you are. When I pick up my phone, I can clearly see my missed calls.

I hate checking my messages. Though I hate phone calls also. Send me a text or an email.

Are you guys talking about business or personal calls? Personal calls, I can kind of see, although I still don't call back without a message. I'm just not going to bird-dog my call log like that and call every person back to see what they wanted. For business calls, it seems extraordinarily unprofessional to expect a call back when you didn't even leave a message. How about letting me know what you're calling for, so that I can have an answer or otherwise be prepared when I call you back?

Oh, I wouldn't return a business call without a VM.

I was talking about personal calls to your cell. I don't get so many calls that it's a hardship to look at my phone, see who called me, and return the call.
My old company culture was often not to leave a message for quick questions because we all had caller ID on our office phones. If it was something more involved or important, I'd leave a message. But again, I wasn't coming back from an hour meeting to 50 missed calls, so it was no big deal to call a couple people back. And this was for internal calls, not people calling from other companies.
People that leave the letter t out when the pronounce a word and these are not people with medical conditions, these are lazy people. Important not Impor'ant.
It really gets on my nerve when I hear broadcasters do it.
The snow. It makes people drive like idiots. Especially, when there is none on the ground. Put snow on the ground and people drive like maniacs, but when there's no snow people drive all slow and cautious. WTF!!

I agree with this. The only people that I will call back who didn't leave a message are my husband and my mom.
Otherwise I assume whoever it was just called to chat and didn't have a pressing question or something to tell me. This is also the only time I leave a message. If I called my mom just to check in, I wouldn't leave a message that say "Hey, it's me! Call me when you have a second." But I would leave a message if I was calling for a real reason.
I also never return business calls without messages.
