I can't remember if you have a name picked out for her already or not. And I've always wondered how people have puppies and work full-time (we adopted our dog when he was 18 months old). Will she have a pee pad or will you be able to take her out during the day?
Calvin & I work about 8 miles from home, so we will take turns going home at lunch time to feed and walk her. We've also (as you might imagine) had offers from friends at both of our jobs that they'd be happy to do a lunch time run to get a puppy fix if we can't one day. I will also probably work from home a little more while she's a puppy.
We are naming her after Mt. Marcy, the highest peak in the Adirondacks.
Oh that's great that you can run home fairly quickly to let her outside during the day.
I wasn't sure if Marcy was her name here. It's a cute name; I like it.
Quick sidebar for you: last night we were sitting in the living room and the Christmas tree randomly fell over. No one had touched it, just kaboom! Our golden retriever was so startled she stress-chewed one of DD's pacifiers into pieces. Poor puppy thought it was her fault!
I feel so badly for momma. There are 11 puppies in the litter. Their mom is looking so thin. Fortunately they all seem to have picked up eating pretty well, and are in the process of weaning. Mom needs to start keeping the calories she's taking in.

Dying! She is so freaking adorable.
We got both of our goldens at 8 weeks. There is just nothing in the world better than a puppy!!! Our youngest is 11 months old and was SO much more work than the first, but both were worth every minute. With our first I was able to bring him to work with me until he was able to stay home uncrated. With the 2nd we used a dog walker to come mid day, even though I live pretty close to work it's just easier to use a service. He's out of the crate now but we still pay the walker mid work day as he took a LOT more time and effort to housebreak than our first and I don't want him to relapse.
