The joys of small town dating

So, I mentioned before I had gone on a couple of dates with that is the son of my parent's friend. Well, Friday night I got out of work early and we decided to meet a bar for a drink then decide from there what to do that night.

As I'm walking into the bar to meet him (he wasn't there yet), my mom walks out of the restaurant next door to say hi because they saw me walking across the street. Then my parents say they are going to the bar next door for a drink and I need to join them!

So awkward, I called the guy to let him know the situation. Nothing to hide, just we just started talking and not ready to alert the parents yet. He was really cool about it and said "okay we are going to have a drink with your parents then." So we did, it was rather strange, but we both knew lots of people there and tried not to make it too weird. My parents haven't brought it up to me yet, so I'm a little curious, but with time I'm sure they will.

Then afterwards, we went to a party at his friend's house and had a great time!

Honestly, I didn't even think about it. In retrospect, that would have made a lot more sense. Partially because I was waiting for him to walk up any second to the place we were at and my parents were there. Oh well, it worked out, he knows the pretty well anyways, and we didn't stick around that long.
