She was so nice and cute in person. There was a long line of people waiting to meet her, so she did a short presentation and then opened the floor for questions. In her presentation, she highlighted the questions she gets asked most often.
It's not really all that difficult to get on a makeover show.
Her no fail neutral paint colors are Benjamin Moore's Sterling and Shaker Beige.
She does a lot of rooms with bright walls. She said to pull it off you need to make the furniture white, acrylic or glass. Dark colors would make it too heavy.
I had an idea of a question, and I almost wimped out. But I screwed my courage to the sticking place and told her that I loved her and I asked what she thought of emerald. She's super excited about it. ;D She even had emerald in the print on her pants.
While answering my question, she looked to the back of the audience and said, "Oh, sir, you don't like emerald?" So I turned around, and it was DH shaking his head.
I still had the mic, so I said that's my husband. That got a decent laugh from the crowd. She, of course, recommended that people who are afraid of painting the walls emerald incorporate it in accents. She's also excited to see what home decor items come out in emerald.
(I'll try to PIP later. I can't get the photo uploaded right now.)
I have to confess that I didn't know who this was. But I checked out her book on Amazon and her style is amazing. I would definitely purchase that book!
