I'm here... mostly just lurking about since I'm no fun to be around right now.
I'm horrible at figuring out presents, so I'm no help there.
During my pregnancy, my only cravings were root beer and ice cream. Immediately after, I couldn't get enough diet pepsi and mcdonald's fries.
Unrelated... H had a phone interview with an IT consulting company. They requested a second interview. He also got an interview request from a different company last night. My fingers and toes are crossed.
I took DayQuil this morning to stop my coughing. Now I'm at work and I feel a little drunk. I clearly can't handle antihistamines at all.
What are some of your H's hobbies or interests? Anything that's getting worn out that he wears often? I buy MH slippers fairly often because he goes through them like no one's business.
How long have you and your H been together, total?
Not quite 4 years.
There are things I could get him, like a mitre saw, but it just seems not fun. Last year I got him an electric smoker and he was totally surprised and loves it. I can't think of anything fun like that. For his birthday I got him a tent and a fishing pole.

I got H a mitre saw a few years ago for his birthday. He doesn't use it all the time, but when he does, he harps on and on about how it was one of the best presents ever.
Oddly, two years ago, his birthday present was a meat smoker that goes with our grill. Also dubbed one of the best presents ever.
I think everyone in the house is over this tummy thing, but none of us can walk more than a couple feet without needing a nap. I don't think we're leaving 4am Friday, lol.
I was out of town, and now I'm back! I'm also not really sure what to get H. I got him two books and some boring clothes, but I'd like to get something a little more exciting . . . except I'm not sure what to get. Maybe bourbon.
I bought my H a watch, slippers since he said his feet are getting cold. A mini replica of the jeep we rented in Puerto Rico. H decided he wants to collect mini versions of the things we drive on vacation. He bought a vespa in Italy so that killed that gift for me, a flight bag, and now I'm drawing a blank. I guess that's what I get for buying and wrapping so early. I think I bought him something else.

Omg my H would LOVE a mitre saw. I often get him tools for Xmas/birthdays. He loves having better tools and more gets done around the house. Win win!
This year, though, he's getting new Chacos. His old ones are finally getting worn out, and they should come in handy for our vacation next month, since there will probably be a lot of hiking.
I'm no help for H gifts. My H said he wants ammo for Christmas... I have many problems with this.
Dude. Celebrating the birth of perhaps the most peace-loving man in history with ammo.
Dude.
I couldn't agree more. Plus, this is just something I wouldn't buy for someone else. Some people are picky about their ammo, and he's picky about everything, so I can only assume this would be no exception.
He's been watching "Doomsday Preppers" almost nonstop, and now thinks that we should buy some tubs and fill them with freeze dried food and bury them to keep "just in case".

Well you know if it were up to me your Mr. Starrie would be getting a swift kick in the hindquarters for Christmas, so I'm sure you'll think of something better than that.
I'm trying to get Brad to skip the gift giving thing this year. He does not like my idea at all, but I might be wearing him down. We *did* just go on a totally spur of the moment vacation, after all.

You already gave Brad the greatest possible gift -- meeting ME!

I'm sure he'd agree on this.
This is true.
I will remember to bring this up the next time we discuss.

HOW was it? DETAILS.
It was Amazing! We had the best time. We drove through Napa one day and we got bikes and hit Sonoma the next. We probably didn't hit as many wineries as we had anticipated, but I wouldn't change the way we did anything. It was nice and relaxing and just fun. The food was good. The wine was good. The weather was incredible. I loved every minute of it.
FI is getting one of those outdoor fire bowl things and a video game and a movie. If the fire bowl is less than I think it'll be, I'll use the rest of my budget on a sweater or shirt. None of these things are terribly exciting, but he wants them and/or needs them. His stocking will be filled with candy and K-cups.
